Shanghai Expo Magazine revamped and launched
Superintended by the Bureau of Shanghai Expo Coordination and sponsored by Shanghai Expo Group Company, Shanghai Expo Magazine first appeared on 3 December, 2004 to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of winning the bid to host World Expo 2010 Shanghai.

Now a new release of the magazine with improved printing and bilingual content is available at Oriental Newspaper Booths all around the city.

Shanghai World Expo Magazine closely follows the Expo theme "Better City, Better Life" and reports exclusively on the progress on Expo preparations, policy changes, potential business opportunities, personnel demands for the running of the Expo and related news.

It provides the government and business enterprises as well as the general public with high-quality information services designed to establish a vibrant image of Shanghai and give the world a better understanding of Expo 2010 and of China.

Jiang Yiren visited Shanghai Expo Group
A delegation led by Jiang Yiren, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Shanghai Municipal Committee, visited Shanghai Expo Group Company on March 15, 2005.

Accompanied by Zhong Yanqun, standing deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, secretary general of Shanghai Expo Bureau Party Committee, deputy director of the Bureau of Shanghai Expo Coordination, Jiang attended the meeting on the deepening of cultural connotation of the theme Expo 2010.

Leaders from CPPCC heard the report from Dai Liu, deputy director of the Bureau of Shanghai Expo Coordination, director of the Expo Group Party Committee and board chairman of Shanghai Expo Group Company on the connotation of the theme, the content of exhibition and the procedures on running a large-scale activity.

Chen Xianjing, deputy director of the Expo Group Party Committee and the president of the Expo Group also reported on the management of the Group.

Zhong presided over the conference.

Dai attended Aichi Expo Opening Ceremony
Dai Liu, deputy director of the Bureau of Shanghai Expo Coordination, director of the Expo Group Party Committee and board chairman of Shanghai Expo Group Company, attended the opening ceremony of Aichi Expo on March 24, 2005 .

Zhong inspected over the Expo Group Company
Zhong Yanqun, standing deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, director of the Bureau of Shanghai Expo Coordination Party Committee and deputy director of the Bureau of Shanghai Expo Coordination visited HR Development Center and the Expo Group on March 31, 2005.

Zhong heard the reports from Dai Liu, deputy director of the Bureau of Shanghai Expo Coordination, director of the Expo Group Party Committee and board chairman of Shanghai Expo Group Company and Wang Xingsun, director of HR development center.

Expo Group held meeting on HR development
Shanghai Expo Group Company held a meeting on HR development on April 27 2005 and announced the launch of Shanghai Expo Talents Information Center.

During the meeting, Expo Group also signed a contract with Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and University of Shanghai for Science and Technology on Human resource cooperation.

Leaders from the Bureau of Shanghai Expo Coordination, including Wang Junyi, Xu Weiguo attended the meeting. Dailiu, deputy director of the Bureau of Shanghai Expo Coordination, director of the Expo Group Party Committee and board chairman of Shanghai Expo Group Company and Chen Xianjing, deputy director of the Expo Group Party Committee and the president of the Expo Group, addressed the meeting.

Xie Lijuan visited the Expo Group
Xie Lijuan, deputy director of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Shanghai Municipal Committee visited Shanghai Expo Group Company on June 22, 2005 and discussed cultural connotations of the theme of Expo and attended the first research activity organized by the Expo Group.

Shareholder’s meeting held
A meeting was held for Expo Group’s shareholders and board of directors on August 31, 2005, resolving that the national capital committee would transmit 49 % of the shares of Shanghai Exhibition Center to invest into the Expo Group.

The total amount of registered capital of Expo Group remained unchanged. The share ownership of the shareholders will be adjusted respectively.

Shanghai Expo Operation and Management Company established
Shanghai Expo Operation and Management Company officially obtaining the business license on 25 November, 2005.

Training base in Zhejiang Province inaugurated
On 21 December 2005 Zhong Shan, vice governor of Zhejiang Province and Dai Liu, director of the Expo Group Party Committee and board chairman of Shanghai Expo Group Company inaugurated the training base for Expo professionals in Zhejiang Province, which kicked off the HR cooperation in Yangtze River Delta for Expo.

Expo bonds issued
Shanghai issued its first tranche of bonds on December 26, 2005. More than 150 leaders and representatives from the government and related departments attend the meeting on the 7th floor in the office building of the Expo Group. Dai Liu, director of the Expo Group Party Committee and board chairman of Shanghai Expo Group Company, addressed the ceremony.
